Eagle Bluffs
I hiked Eagle Ridge two weeks ago but have been too busy to blog it until now. This particular Cypress Mountain hike was recommended to me by MJ. The bluffs promised good views of the city, so Mary (in town from Ottawa) was more than willing to accompany Whitney and I.
The hike was almost 2 hours each way with a muddy trial that wove up and down and around dozens of mountain ponds.
From the top we were able to see all the way to Vancouver Island and across the Sunshine Coast.
I've never spent time around a snowless ski hill before. We detoured off the trial a bit to run around the slopes and pursue more views of the city below.
Overall, an exhausting hike though less than dull -- particularly with Mary and Whitney as companions.
